Vehicular
Advanced Software Technology Consortium Institute
The
VAST-CI is centered in southeastern Michigan, the
hub of the automotive, off-road and heavy vehicle
industry. The VAST-CI concept was developed by the Department of Defense
Software Technology Strategy pilots. As a result
of those initiatives, the consortium’s strategic
thrust “collaborative development of military
and industrial software technologies for software
intensive systems” was established. These
goals are realized through scientifically based
methodologies, model-based processes, and tools
utilized to evolve code generation.
Improving
software process and product development and educating
our nation’s engineers will ensure the United
States’ competitive advantage and leadership
into the 21st century.
